A steaming mad Daffy, holes shot through his beak and singed with some feathers missing, glares at Bugs. Behind them is a tree with a 'Duck Season' poster complete with picture of Daffy. Bugs comments, "Funny, Doc. It doesn't look a thing like you!"
Elmer Fudd is hunting in the Hollywood Hills when Bugs asks him what he's doing. Elmer catches on fast that Bugs is a rabbit and starts after him only to be told stop by Bugs. Amazingly Elmer does stop and Bugs argues with him until they have a bet: Bugs says Elmer doesn't stand a chance of catching him without firearms. Elmer figures otherwise, considering his ancestry. He recalls Daniel Fudd who dealt with a bear without firing a shot, Elmericus Fuddicus who wasn't the best example, and Og Fudd who caught a mammoth with mere chewing gum.
Elmer starts with a pit trap, only to end up falling into it himself. Next he tries a noose set to catch a foot, but he backs into it himself when a skunk shows up. The tree he used to spring the trip is a rubber try and the skunk was just about to tell Elmer that when he found out the hard way. Changing methods, he tries a bolo which he doesn't quite master, helicoptering away. Finally he tries a steel bear trap only to find himself needing Bugs' help to escape it and then not quite managing the feat anyway.
Elmer is distraught by his failure, but then Bugs just surrenders - provided the cooking and eating is done in the wild. Elmer agrees and they set up a stew pot. Bugs treats it like a bath, even asking for more wood on the fire. The rabbit tricks the hopeful hunter into joining him in the bath, only to leap out of the pot and cover it. Bugs then has the sealed pot sent off to a very distant place: Siberia. Bug closes with the comment that it wasn't a fair fight as it was a battle of wits and Elmer was unarmed.
At a boxing match with almost no audience, Crusher is knocked clear out of the ring. Worse, it's been happening all week and now he's seeing little birds. At that, the doctor agrees rest is needed and has Crusher sent to a place where he can rest. He gets Tweety for companionship since he now insists having a bird around.
Outside, Sylvester is having no luck finding anything he considers food, finding only 'health food' leftovers. But then the cat spot Tweety and plans his next meal. His first attempt to get to Tweety is easily thwarted by Crusher and gets him tossed back out the window. The cat tries again, disguising himself as a birdhouse. He gets tossed again, too. Next he hides in a food cart only to get a cover rung like a bell on his head and then tossed out.
The doctor checks on Crusher and find he's progressing so well he may be able to leave very early. Sylvester thinks Crusher has left but finds out otherwise when he uses the cat as a sparring partner. While trying to escape Crusher, Sylvester triggers an exercise machine's highest setting. The resulting workout clobbers both cat and boxer. When the doctor returns he wonders if maybe the condition is contagious. Tweety claims it is, but only to "puddy tats."
There are two one-page fillers.
