Synopsis

Speedy leads Sylvester on a chase through the lab of a cheese factory, ending it abruptly by catapulting a large cheese onto the cat. Realizing he's lost the knack, Sylvester hits upon the idea of restoring the "fire" with a mix of hot spicy foods.

The concoction works, with the side effect of turning Sylvester red. He runs through the factory and finds Speedy just as the mouse returns. This time Sylvester stops Speedy, by a means that sends the rodent into a large hopper full of melted cheese. With Speedy out of the way, Sylvester sets about catching the other mice, who don't venture into the factory.

Speedy, who has eaten his way out of a cheese and taken a little siesta, shows up just as the cat is about to finish his mouse collecting. Sylvester doesn't live up to his boasts as the hot mixture wears off. He sets about making a new batch, with Speedy tricking him into adding an extra ingredient: baking soda. Again the cat is fired up and red, but now unable to catch mice as his burps are so powerful they keep him aloft!
