Wile E. Coyote sits on a road and cowers under a small umbrella as a hail of boulders falls all around him. It is quite a storm with boulders and rocks of all sizes falling and clouds of dust hanging in the air.
This is a strikingly unusual cover, not drawn in the traditional sense but apparently computer generated, aside from Wile E. Coyote and his umbrella which appear to be drawn as usual This is not the first time Tumminello has done unusual cover art. His cover for the December 1996 Pinky and the Brain (#6) is also quite remarkable.
Sunrise! And a Rube Goldberg arrangement awakens Wile E. Coyote for another day of scheming. A trip to an Acme store allows the coyote to get his supplies for the day. He then sets up a large slingshot, a cannon, and a giant fly swatter. He also nudges a boulder into place and paints up a sign announcing free bird seed.
The first attempt at getting Road Runner fails when the cannon swings and fires upwards, damaging a cliff outcropping and thus sending the boulder crashing down on Wile E. The second attempt involves bird seed and glue, but Road Runner startles the coyote who ends up with the seed glued to his face, and then swarmed by birds. One bird can't fly away and Wile E. is finally about to dine when Road Runner triggers the giant swatter, clobbering the coyote. The bird flies away.
Wile E. next tries to use the giant slingshot to send himself, on a unicycle, after the bird. A rope snags on his foot and the elastic of the slingshot send the coyote backwards into a cliff wall. He returns to his cave, disgusted.
Wile E.'s luck doesn't improve at home as lighting match sends a spark that ignites the fur on his head. An attempt to blow out the fire only make is worse and he runs out in a panic. He trips and ends up in the cannon, which fires him onto the re-armed swatter, which send him flying. He runs into the unicycle and slingshot and finally stops when he slams into the boulder.

Sylvester isn't prepared for this event and ends up with the plunger handle down his throat and stiffening his tail.
Bugs Bunny relaxes in hammock in his hole on a tropical island when a large chest falls on him. Springing back, the hammock sends the chest back up and out, where it lands on Yosemite Sam. Yosemite demands the chest be lifted off of him, then claims Bugs' hole and tries shooting Bugs when the rabbit disagrees with about who owns the hole. Luckily for Bugs, the coconut he's drinking out of thwarts the shot.
Just as he gets back to relaxing, the chest drops on Bugs again. The rabbit appears behind Yosemite as he buries him and the chest... only to find that neither are in the hole. A good push Bugs sends the chest floating away and Yosemite goes after it and encounters a large shark. He manages an explosively unpleasant escape.
Yosemite is burying that chest for good now, using cement. Bugs, seemingly trapped in a hollow under the concrete, proclaims the treasure his own while Yosemite throws a tantrum above ground. Gaining some reason, Yosemite points out that Bugs is trapped and can't use the treasure. BUgs proves otherwise by phoning for his rescue.
Acme Excavations soon has Bugs and the chest dug up. Yosemite claims the chest and treasure is all his. This is fine with Bugs, and he tells everyone to see Yosemite about being paid for their services.
