Miss Prissy waves while wearing a crown and holding flowers. She stands on the backside of Foghorn, who is on his arms and knees saying, "Ah never knew winnin' beauty contests was such an ugly business!"
Granny motors through the African wilderness with Sylvester and Tweety. A large bump sends the caged pets flying, first onto the horns of a giraffe, then into a crocodile infested river. Just as a freed Sylvester starts for Tweety, he finds himself struggling to keep a crocodile's jaws from closing on him. Tweety "helps" the cat by tickling him. Sylvester manages to survive the fight that results and hits the crocodile with a stick. Unfortunately for the cat, another crocodile sees that and starts after him. Sylvester again seems to escape, only to find he has not climbed a tree, but a huge crocodile's tail and is sent flying. Finally Sylvester catches up with Tweety but just as he's about to swallow the bird, Granny shows up and displays her own temper.
Miss Prissy signs up for the Miss Poultry Pageant, which results in some chickens laughing at the idea that she'd have any chance at all. Foghorn Leghorn hears this and comes to Prissy's defense, even claiming he'll be able to bring out Prissy's inner beauty for all to see. He starts by having Miss Prissy work on her posture by balancing books on her head. Foghorn overdoes it by using many heavy books. Working on Miss Prissy's accent only gets her and Foghorn literally tongue-tied.
At the beauty pageant, Foghorn sings an introduction and realizes he has a problem when the judge spots Miss Prissy and points and laughs. Foghorn gets rather involved in changing the pageant's outcome. He adds gasoline to a fire juggling demonstration, and water to the singer of Singin' in the Rain. He cuts one contestant out by sawing through the stage, and sends another flying. A few more contests are dealt with by adding bugs, luring with corn, and a powerful vacuum.
The pageant judge resigns himself to declaring the only contest left, Miss Prissy, the winner. Just as he's about to place the crown on Prissy, the contest who had been sent flying comes crashing back down. Declaring this a re-entry, he awards the crown to the returning hen. Her joy, and Foghorn's and Prissy's dismay, are short-lived as the contest sponsor is revealed -- the head chef of Chicken Kitchen
Elmer Fudd is hunting rabbits when he is interrupted by Daffy, who, as a member of the Citizen's Committee for Comic Book Decency, has the job of making the comic acceptable for reading by children. His first change is to have Elmer use a broom instead of a gun. When Bugs appears, Daffy insists he not address Elmer as a "Doc" as he isn't a doctor.
Bugs disappears down his hole and Daffy tells Elmer to flush him out, but his broom gets stuck. Daffy and Elmer both pull on the broom and they do get it free, but crash hard into a tree behind them. Bugs quips that such slapstick can't be healthy. Daffy notices that the broom handle has been tied in a knot, which is against the laws of science. Bugs explains that he never studied law.
Daffy then rants about not being able to fool all of the people all of the time, but Bugs - now dressed a woman - counters that he can fool the right people as Elmer swoons. When Daffy tries to remove Bugs' disguise, he gets called a masher and beaten with the broom handle. Irate, the duck stuffs explosives into Bugs' hole in the ground.
As Daffy is lighting the explosives, Bugs appears as the chairman of the Citizen's Committee for Comic Book Decency and corrects Daffy's language. Going further, he bans use of of several silly words common to Looney Tunes, starting with "despicable." Then forbids the use of dynamite as too violent and Daffy has to put out many fuses. The duck almost succeeds. Daffy complains of the punishment and Bugs, having just removed the chairman disguise, replies that he won't say anything if Daffy doesn't say anything.
Daffy and Porky are atop a camel and traveling through the desert when Porky spots the temple of Ali's Mama. When Daffy here's that the place supposedly holds vast riches but nobody has found just where, he just has to go after the treasure. The pair get into the temple easily enough, but once inside must be careful not to come to the attention of the many guards.
Daffy finds a hidden doorway but has no success opening it, at least until Porky picks up a stick and pulls the cord that opens the doors. Just as the pair start past the doorway they find that one of the guards has discovered them. They hide themselves in hieroglyphic wall carvings and let the guards pass by. Before they can get down the part of the wall they're on swings inward and deposits them in the treasure room.
Daffy is thrilled to be with the treasure, while Porky is thrilled to have survived. Porky saves the duck from choking on a jewel and notices an oil lamp. At first the duck isn't interested in the lamp, but then a genie appears. Daffy makes a wish and gets exactly what he asks for, though not in a way he would like. The duck then makes another wish that cancels the first wish, aside from him being in pain. Porky carefully asks if more wishes can be wished for and is told, "No!" The duck and pig fight over the lamp and Porky makes the final wish. He wishes for them both to be home with the treasure of Ali's Mama.
The wish is granted, but the results aren't what Daffy and Porky expected. While they are now home, they do not have the gold and jewels. Instead, the house is filled with the temple guards. They explain that they are not guards, but all sons named Ali, and are their mama's greatest treasure. Thinking fast, Porky asks if they all got anything for mama for Mother's Day. They forgot, and leave in a hurry to put that right. As the leave, Daffy bemoans the loss of all the gold and jewels, but Porky has something stuck in his teeth...
