Papa Bear, wearing a Santa hat, scowls from the chimney in which he is stuck. Beside him are a tired Mama, in her nightclothes, holding a crowbar and Junyer, with antlers and a harness. Junyer proclaims, "D-uh-- I helped Santa!" The full moon rises behind the trio.
Preparing for the Christmas holiday, the three bears get off to a bad start when Junyer stumbles and lands on Paw, Henry. An exasperated Henry is told by Maw that since it's Christmas he should be nice to Junyer. Eventually the stockings are hung, after Junyer brings his new, huge stocking to replace a rather tiny one.
Maw suggests Paw go get the tree, seemingly to get him away from Junyer for a while. Unfortunately, Junyer tries to help and nearly decapitates Paw, then merely annoys him by singing badly while not helping at all. As if that wasn't enough, Junyer wants a huge tree and tosses Paw to the top so he can measure it. Paw grabs the treetop and the result of a poorly thought out instruction sends him flying again, headfirst right into, and nearly through, the lower trunk of a more reasonably sized tree. Junyer's rush to get the tree into the house leaves it stuck partway into the chimney. Getting it out again covers the room in ash.
Maw sends Junyer out to get eggnog while Paw deals with the tree and untangling the lights. Unable to find nog, Junyer returns with egg, which end up on Paw. When Junyer unwisely plugs in the lights, both the eggs and Paw are fired. The bears' luck with tinsel isn't much better and the result is Paw resembling Santa. As Santa must come down the chimney, Junyer takes him out and up onto the roof where he stuffs Santa-Paw into the chimney only for him to get stuck. Junyer's extraction of Paw from the chimney brings an end to holiday preparations, the house, and any pretense of Paw being nice to him.
Hearing a call for help, reporter Duck Dent (Daffy) dives into a mailbox and emerges as Stuporduck. He dashes into a laundry room only to find that it was Porky who called and he just has a coin stuck in, but not activating, a washing machine. The duck tries to retrieve the coin, pushing Porky aside, only to get a nasty electric shock. A display of Stupor temper ends with the washer falling on the duck.
Stuporduck next tries flying backwards around the earth to send it back in time, that way he can prevent Porky from inserting the coin. The duck overdoes things and finds a prehistoric earth. Upon returning to the present, he dismisses the idea of calling for someone who might actually be able to take care of things. Instead, he vibrates in an attempt to extract the coin magnetically. The first time he tries it, he gets covered in laundry. Trying harder, he ruins Porky's laundry, not to mention the building. Porky wants Stuporduck to pay for the clothes and the duck agrees, asking if Porky will take payment in change.
Mugsy is about to go out to steal some eggs when Rocky tells him that they'd better off committing white collar crimes. Mugsy latches on to the idea without knowing what it really means and departs in hurry. Mugsy returns with many collared white shirts, leaving Rocky frustrated.
Bugs is set to relax on Pebble Beach, only he has wound up in Tibet instead. While Bugs tries to relax despite the chill, Yosemite Sam prepares to blast a gold statue of Buddha free from the terrain. Bugs notices the dynamite in time to only almost escape the resulting avalanche. Bugs isn't about to just let that go.
With the heavy golden Buddha tied to a struggling llama, Sam starts on his way. He encounters what appears to be a shortcut in the form of a rope and plank bridge, with a robed and hooded figure before it. Sam asks about the bridge and is told he should wait for a sign from above. Impatient, Sam doesn't wait and starts across with his heavily laden llama, kicking the robed figure aside. When they are well out onto the bridge, a sign -- Bridge Out -- does drop, and a robe-wearing Bugs plants it as the bridge gives way.
Sam, the llama, and the golden Buddha all fall, but seem lucky as Sam miraculously uses a couple planks as skis. This luck doesn't last very long. Just after they all finally come to a crashing halt, Bugs appears as a Russian ski instructor who can teach Sam extreme skiing. The first ski run ends in a crash, and the next is worse as it involves not just a steep slope but also bear traps. The final bit of skiing has a high, steep slope and the llama and golden Buddha as well. The result plunge doesn't end at the bottom, but sends Sam and and company up another slope and well into the air, or so it seems until Sam and the llama look down at a very distant earth. Sam does turn out to be a great skier, managing a controlled landing on Mars. The llama and golden Buddha arrive soon after, landing with rather less control on top of Sam.
