While a caged gorilla gently holds an unconcerned Pussyfoot, Marc Antony very nervously looks on from an overhanging tree branch.
After an afternoon being taken around the zoo, Marc Antony is concerned for the exhausted Pussyfoot. As their owner seems oblivious, the dog takes matters into his own paws and sets the kitten on his back. Marc doesn't notice that when they go by the gorilla cage that the gorilla lifts Pussyfoot from his back. After the dog and his owner leave the zoo and are about to get in the car they discover that the kitten is missing. Marc Antony is left tied to the bumper while the owner goes back to find Pussyfoot.
Worried about the kitten, Marc Antony strains, pulling the bumper off of the car and then uses it to vault over the zoo fence. Finding Pussyfoot with the gorilla panics the dog. This startles the gorilla and Pussyfoot goes flying. Marc Antony chases after the kitten, starting a chase that leads to an encounter with an elephant. The elephant tosses Pussyfoot away, twice and Marc Antony gets treated worse. The next encounter is with a crocodile. When the crocodile flicks its tail, Pussyfoot is again airborne. The kitten lands inside the lion exhibit - and the lions aren't about to give her to a dog.
A zookeeper explains that Pussyfoot is with other felines and so is safe. The owner will be able to pick up Pussyfoot in the morning. It takes a while for Marc Antony to realize the best thing he can do is nothing.
Another day finds Sam Sheepdog and Ralph Wolf on the job again. Ralph tries burrowing to get a sheep in the morning and encounters Sam instead. The Bo-Peep look is tried around noon, without success. In the afternoon, Sam jerks Ralph's helicopter from the sky, just before their shift ends.
At a museum showing the perfect Whoa-Yowzer diamond, a couple crooks disguised as mother and toddler manage to steal the gem. The apparent toddler hides the diamond inside a hollow baseball. The pair flee the museum, catch up with an accomplice, and then head to a baseball game to be lost in the crowd. They mark the ball with the gem inside and toss it in with a pile of baseballs.
Bugs, Daffy, and Porky are also at the ball game. Because Daffy was late in getting the tickets, they don't have the best seats. The crooks wind up sitting right behind them. When a power hitter is at bat, there's an argument over who gets the use of a pair of binoculars. The apparent toddler ends up with them, also gets hit with the fly ball. Bugs catches the ball and comments on the mark on it.
A chase ensues, with the crooks after Bugs and the diamond-holding baseball he has. Bugs disguises himself as a bat, but then gets used as one. The rabbit does some fast talk, acting as a manager, and has the crooks play outfield so far out they leave the stadium. As they realize they've been had, Bugs discovers the ball's real value. When the crooks return, the rabbit tosses the marked ball into the batting cage and then locks them inside it as they all dive for the ball. After that, Bugs makes a deal with the stadium and arranges for Daffy, Porky, and himself to see the game up close.
